King Humor impressive in his debut for the barn of Victor Barboza Jr.

The beautiful chestnut King Humor (Distorted Humor – Taptam, by Pleasant Tap)
launched his career in a victorious manner the past February 2 in a Maiden Special
Weight with a pursue of $50,000.00 at the Champion Meet at Gulfstream Park in
Hallandale Beach, FL. The colt was ridden in the five ½ furlongs race by the
Venezuelan Jockey Edgar Perez and hit the wire in 1:03 flat after he set a pace of:
22:10, 45:10 and 1:03 through the five and one half furlongs. The colt raced for the
silks of his owner Hector Investments Corp. under the training of Victor Barboza Jr.

After setting the pace through the whole race when the colt entered the final turn he
was just hand-ridden by his Jockey Edgar Perez. The colt got his first win in his first
try on the racetrack leaving his connections and the barn with a good feeling for the
big races for three years old in the Country.

This was another success for trainer Victor Barboza Jr. who also selected the beautiful chestnut colt at the OBS 2017 auction of two years old and horses of racing age and surely we will see the colts in the prep races in the route to the Kentucky Derby.
