Victor Barboza, Jr

Víctor Barboza Jr. has 18 years of experience in the training of racing horses, winner of two statistics on the Zulian equestrian that saw him born.

Its main premise is to register to win, in a year in the United States thoroughbreds training has an effectiveness above 20% in earned races, is without a doubt one of the best talent that has exported Venezuela to North American equestrianism.

His first direct relationship with equestrianism was a gift from his father (who was also a coach), when he was just a child, elementary student. That gift was a pureblood that was called Kan, a sorrel that could only win a race in the Hipódromo de La Limpia.

Victor finished his baccalaureate at Our Lady of Fatima School in Maracaibo, from there he started at the University of Zulia where he entered the Faculty of Agronomy where he waited to make the change to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, in that there was a teacher strike that took him To make the decision to study at the University Rafael Urdaneta the career of Animal Science but always the passion to train since I was a child was much bigger to any university career and in the 6th semester I had the opportunity to start as a coach (at age 20 Of age) and did not hesitate. So far his career in the universities remained.

This opportunity to start as a coach was presented in 1998 at the Hipódromo de Santa Rita, when his father left the stables to go to other businesses and Victor decided to take the reins of them without having their enrollment of coach, trained them but they left In the name of his father. There were 16 specimens and within a few days 10 foals of the South Stud of the Lake were taken from the stable, leaving only 6 specimens left. Already following the knowledge of a whole life within this world, began to work with these units and began to arrive the triumphs and with them appeared new units.

His first triumph as a professional trainer was in May 1999 with the mare Hy West for the colors of Stud My Beauty (by Mr. Jose Zajia) and his first selective triumph was in the Hipódromo de Santa Rita Classic of the year 2000 with the giant Con Fragor, owned by Stud GCV. There have been many good purebloods that have passed by his stable, names like Con Encanto, Mr. Cresus, Perlatto, Victoria, Champion Girl, Lafontedeoro, Andrea Ce, Championship among others, gave him many satisfactions in the most important events of the Zulian Horse calendar, for his part in the United States with a single year already has Rich Daddy selective winner At the Hippodrome in Gulfstream Park.

He is the youngest coach to win a National Statistics with 23 years, in addition his presented ones were racked with 36 consecutive weeks winning, something quite difficult to do. But Víctor has no doubt that the success of his career is due to a lot of dedication and a great work team: Stables, Foreman, Galloping and Veterinarian.

He currently practices as a horse trainer in the United States, specifically in the State of Florida, where he started in June of 2015 and has since won more than 20 races.
