KING HUMOR RETURNS AT HIS BEST

The unbeaten King Humor reappeared in the best way, on a muddy track and under an excellent ride of Emisael Jaramillo, gets a dominant victory in the 8th race of this Friday at Gulfstream Park.

The trainee of Victor Barboza Jr, came back after a year and 7 days without running.

Jaramillo’s riding skills came to the lightspot once more time, rating King Humor behind the initial speed, then taking over their rivals at the top of the final stretch and extend the colt undefeated record to 4 presentations, with earnings at $125,835.

The race was an Allowance Claiming Optional with a purse of $48,000 King Humor left a time of 1:10.98 for the 6 furlongs  with splits of: 24.09 in the first quarter (400 meters), 47.29 in the half mile (800m).

King Humor showed that being free of injuries is ready to achieve better results: “This is the best horse I have trained in my life, so far, he possess a high quality, returning in this group,  at his 80 percent in my opinion and wining in this way over this muddy track, hopefully if he keeps healthy,we will see how far we can go with it, ” said trainer Victor Barboza Jr.

 

King Humor is a 4 year old horse, son of Distorted Humor out of Taptam by Pleasant Tap, bred by SF Bloodstock LLC: “He is a very good horse, he gran great over this muddy track,, there was quite a fight for the lead at the beginning of the race, we wait until the top of the final stretch, then he responded with a powerful close in the final stretch. ” said jockey Emisael Jaramillo.

 

Victor Barboza Jr sums his 12th victory in the present meeting and No. 20 so far in 2019. King Humor defended new silks for the Granpollo Stable.
